Ampersand is the customer facing brand name of a private GP practice run by Dr. Sarah Mansoor. Dr. Sarah s a GMC registered GP with license number 7645829

The AI agent only serves as a patient intake method – similar to your GP’s receptionist taking your main symptoms or a web-based form you fill in ahead of seeing a physician. The agent does a much more thorough job of collecting your details. However it is no involved in anything beyond information gathering. It does not play any part in the clinical element of your care – from forming a diagnosis to recommending treatment. All of that is done by the physician themselves.

Unlike many AI agents, Ampersand is not based on any LLM (Chat GPT, Claude etc). It’s database of questions is entirely developed by physicians, and is very specific and identical to questions the physician would ask in any clinical interaction. There are 600+ questions and counting that the agent navigates through depending upon the presenting symptoms.
